Papaya is a highly powerful superfood which promotes the body’s natural state of detoxification. Ive always had a soft spot for this divinely creamy fruit. It helps balance acid in the tummy due to a high amount of enzymes, and is high in fibre so acts as a natural laxative which helps get the tummy moving. It’s low in calories but rich in nutrients which means its perfect for balancing, healing and you may indulge as much as you like. To be more specific, papaya acts as an anti-inflammatory, mainly focusing on arthritis, osteoporosis, and any other joint pain / inflammation, how magical!
1/2 chopped papaya (add the leftovers into a container and snack on later)
1/2 cup ice
250mls almond milk
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp raw honey
Whizz all these blissful ingredients together and enjoy served chilled. This can be enjoyed as a breakfast or as a mid-morning snack.
